On Saturday September 17 the journey begins. My momma and me packed the car up and got ready to leave, we made the final stops to say goodbye, one of the hardest was saying bye to marleighna my best friend, she is like my sister. The hardest of all was family!
Day 1: we drove through South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee, we stopped in Clarksville for the night. Today was a pretty easy drive.
Day 2: we made it through Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, and into Iowa. That night in Iowa a lot of the roads were very messed up. We kinda got lost, so we had to stop. Talk about scary, no cell phone service, out in the middle of nowhere. We finally found a place to stay, note to anyone traveling, stop before it gets dark when roads are under construction or closed.
Day 3: Iowa, drove through part of Nebraska (wasn't on our route), South Dakota, and part of Wyoming. Early this morning we got lost in Iowa and Nebraska, that was a mess! South Dakota was seriously all mountains and hills, but near the state line was Wall Drug which looked like a little town full of shops and tourist stuff. That night we stayed in Wyoming, we learned to stop when you see hotels don't wait.
Day 4: We drove through Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and into Washington. Today was full of mountains, hills, not much. We focused on driving and stopped for food and to fill up the car. Nothing special.
Day 5: the rest of Washington. We finally made it, today is my birthday and I get to see my hubby! What could be better than this? I signed the papers for the apartment, my momma and I moved in the stuff we had packed. Then went grocery shopping and got the essentials. My hubby called when he was done with work. We met up at the PX I gave him a big hug, I was so excited to see him♥ The first week here I didn't do much, I had no clue where things were.
The first weekend we moved in, the movers brought all our stuff and I took my momma to the airport to fly home, it was kinda hard for me to see her go. But when I got back to the apartment we already had Internet hooked up,and the movers drove up. By Monday everything was unpacked and ready to go. Now for me and kaleb to be grown-ups.
